They are also a popular choice with celebrities most notably Pamela Anderson. Barbed wire tattoos originated from prison culture and were later adopted by Latino’s in Southern California. In the past many employers were known to discourage their employees from having tattoos which are visible or even having any tattoos at all. These days as they are so popular with modern culture many employers turn a blind eye to this trend but I thought I should warn you in case you are deciding to get a tattoo which is visible and may harm your relationship with your employer or prevent you from getting that dream job. Unless you wear long sleeves at work (and your interview) you may want to think twice about wear you situate your tattoo.

Back

Another option for your Barbed Wire tattoo is on your back. The back is one of the most popular places to have any kind of tattoo and Barbed wire tattoos is no exception. As the back has a wide expanse of skin it opens up many options for design ideas. Many people like to use the barbed wire to wrap around a symbol such as a heart or a rose or any kind of design that you wish to have there. I have seen people have a necklace barbed wire or as a belt around your waist. Just remember, if you are thinking of having a tattoo that isn’t very visible then the neck is not the best place unless you have a large collection of polo necks tops.
